FOCUS PEARL 3.3.3 is now available.

- Warning for version 2.2.2 (3/November/2004)
FOCUSPEARL_2.2.2 sometimes crashes for substances (parents or metabolites) with Freundlich exponents exceeding 1.0. In such case, the run stops saying that a negative concentration occurred. If no such error message occurs, there is no problem. There are no work arounds to avoid this error. The user could consider to modify the value for the Freundlich exponent to a value of 1.0; the run would then be completed without error. It is anticipated that this bug will be solved in the next release.
- Warning for version 2.2.2 (1/September/2004)
The calculation of the temperature-dependency of the sorption coefficient contains an error which implies that the model does not consider this dependency. Thus all calculations are performed with a sorption coefficient that is no function of temperature. This bug influences only results of runs in which the molar enthalpy of sorption was set to a non-zero value. Such runs are exceptional because zero is the default value and because measurements of this molar enthalpy are usually not available.
- Release of FOCUS PEARL 2.2.2 (7/August/2003)
FOCUS PEARL 2.2.2 is now available.

- Warning for version 1.1.1 (1/September/2002)
GeoPEARL 1.1.1 may crash for substances (parents or metabolites) with Freundlich exponents exceeding 1.0.

Release notes and warnings for PEARLNEQ
- Release of version 3 (8 November/2006)
Version 3 of PEARLNEQ is now available. According to recommendations of the FOCUS Kinetics Working Group, the initial mass content in the system should be optimised. This recomendation has been implemented in the new version. Also, a few small bugs were removed. Please refrain from using the old version. Further release notes are found in the manual.
Details
- Release of version 2 (8 April/2005)
Version 2 of PEARLNEQ is now available. This version is fully compatible with FOCUS PEARL 2.2.2. This version produces slightly different results than the old version, due to the use of a new PEST version. Test results are included in the manual, which is distributed with the package. Results for the example (page 53 of FOCUS PEARL manual) are no longer valid.
- Warning for version 1 (8/April/2005)
Version 1 of PEARLNEQ is not compatible with FOCUS PEARL 2.2.2 and therefore produces wrong results. A new version (version 2) is now available at the website.
